Policies, Terms & Agreements
By scheduling an appointment, submitting intake forms, or receiving services from Mystic Mama Healing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following policies.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you, and I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling whenever possible.
As a mother myself, I understand that life happens. Children get sick, unexpected circumstances arise, and sometimes things are simply beyond our control. I never want anyone to feel obligated to come in when they or their little ones are unwell. In fact, I would much rather you stay home, rest, and help prevent the spread of illness than push through and risk spreading it to others.
Missed appointments, no-shows, or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged the full amount of the scheduled service. That said, I strive to approach each situation with compassion and understanding. Genuine illness, emergencies, and unforeseen life events are part of being human, and as long as last-minute cancellations are not a recurring pattern, we likely won’t have an issue.
Repeated missed appointments or last-minute cancellations may result in requiring prepayment or limiting future booking availability.
Late Arrival Policy
Clients arriving more than 5 minutes late may have their session shortened to honor the next scheduled appointment. Full payment for the reserved session may still apply.
Health & Safety
The health and well-being of both clients and practitioner are a priority.
Please inform me of any medical conditions, injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, implanted devices, allergies, medications, or changes in health status prior to your session.
If you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea, flu-like symptoms, COVID-19, or any contagious illness, please reschedule your appointment. I would much rather support your healing once you are feeling better than have you push through illness.
Clients arriving under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs will not receive treatment and will be responsible for the full session fee.
Scope of Practice
Mystic Mama Healing offers massage therapy, Reiki, yoga, and wellness services intended to support relaxation, stress reduction, pain relief, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.
These services are complementary in nature and are not intended to diagnose, prescribe, or replace medical or mental health care. Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate medical attention for any physical or psychological concerns.
Professional Boundaries
Mystic Mama Healing is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all.
Proper draping will be used at all times.
Clients may request changes in pressure, positioning, temperature, music, or may end the session at any time.
Massage therapy and bodywork are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual in nature.
Inappropriate behavior, sexual comments, or misconduct of any kind will result in the immediate termination of the session, and full payment will be required.
Informed Consent
By receiving services, you understand and agree that:
Participation is voluntary.
You may stop a session at any time.
It is your responsibility to communicate any discomfort, concerns, or changes in your health.
No guarantees are made regarding specific outcomes or results.
Individual experiences and responses to treatment vary.
Minor Clients
Clients under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete all required consent forms prior to treatment. A parent or guardian may be required to remain on the premises and/or in treatment room during the session.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service.
Accepted forms of payment include cash, major credit cards, and approved electronic payment methods.
Personal checks may be accepted for established clients at the discretion of Mystic Mama Healing.
Returned checks may be subject to additional fees.
Outstanding balances must be paid before future appointments may be scheduled.
Communication & Privacy
Electronic communication, including text messaging and email, is provided for convenience. While every effort is made to protect your privacy, complete confidentiality through electronic communication cannot be guaranteed.
Client information and health histories are kept confidential and are only shared when required by law or with your written consent.
Personal Belongings
Mystic Mama Healing is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
Right to Refuse Service
Mystic Mama Healing reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment when services are deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or outside the scope of practice.
Policy Changes
Mystic Mama Healing reserves the right to modify these policies at any time. Updated policies become effective upon publication.
Liability Waiver
By booking and receiving services from Mystic Mama Healing, I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily and assume responsibility for communicating any medical conditions, injuries, medications, or concerns that may affect my care. I release and hold harmless Mystic Mama Healing and Ashley Marie Lepak, LMT, from liability arising from ordinary risks associated with massage therapy, Reiki, yoga instruction, and wellness services.
Agreement
By scheduling an appointment, submitting forms electronically, or receiving services, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to these policies and terms.
